Stress Free Make-up for people with allergies or sensitivities!

As a cheer mom, I have struggled with the amount of make-up my eight year old has to wear during cheer competitions, will it affect her sensitive skin?  The debate continues to go on, will people have allergy reactions to topical products?  Regardless of what the data and reports say, I feel it has to be considered on an individual bases.  Each of us is different.  How we react to the make-up we wear will be different too.  I know many people who have lost eyelashes, broke out in rashes, and had other side effects from the make-up they apply.  But, I can take the worry away by using all natural make-up products.   Why add stress and worry to our life?  Finding great make-up products that are also Natural and gluten free help to take the stress away.

What is my stress free make-up?

New Years!

Well, we have almost made it to a new year!  I hope everyone had a safe and gluten free holiday!
I am very thankful for all the time I was able to spend with friends and family.  I am also extremely thankful for the break away from work.  It is such a joy to be able to have days to just be with the family and not worry about other obligations.  Around the holiday, I also enjoy memories of lost loved ones.  If you have lost someone close to you then, you understand how each wonderful event in your life is now bittersweet.  Events are always a joyous occasion that also have a sadness to them because you wish that your loved one was with you.  And, you often are filled with memories of what that lost loved one would have brought to that occasion.
As the new year approaches, I hope for the usual...good health for the family.  But, I also hope that I can continue to provide a resource for those individuals who struggle with the need to have specialized products.  My partner and I, at No Gluten Natural Girl Products, have dedicated ourselves to our small company.  We seek to provide quality products at lower costs.  But, more importantly we seek to provided Gluten free and natural products.  We are always working hard to help out our costumers with whatever personal needs they may have.  We do our best to offer not only gluten free products but also Vegan friendly products and allergy free products.  It is very important to us that the products we offer are tried and true.  So, as the new year approaches I wish everyone a healthy and happy new year and I hope that No Gluten Natural Girl Products can continue to help make people's lives a little healthier and happier!

Happy New Years!

Skin is the LARGEST organ in the body....what you put on it will be absorbed!

The long term debate....is what we put onto our skin going to effect us?  Here is my opinion on this topic.  I am not a doctor, this is just my view on this topic.

Skin is the largest organ of the human body!  So, why wouldn't you want to be attentive to the ingredients of the the items you place on your skin?  This goes for everything that you place on your skin: make-up, lotions, soaps, antiperspirants, perfumes, hair care, sun care, insect repellent, and even medical creams.  If you are placing something on your skin, the largest organ of your body, why wouldn't you want to be cognitive of what ingredients will enter into your body.

Let's think about this for a minute. There are LOTS of drugs that come in a "patch" form.  How do they work?  You place a patch on your skin and then it is absorbed, through your skin.  They are proven to work by scientists and approved by the medical industry.  So, people can sit and tell me that a patch that I place on my skin will work but that the make-up that sits on my face, the deodorant I apply (that lasts all day), the cream that I spread on my legs...those items won't be absorbed?  It can't be both.  Why did scientists develop the "patch" systems?  Because they know that the skin is an active organ that they can use.  They know that it will absorb the medications. So, right there....you should know that your skin can and will absorb what is placed onto it.

If you do a little research, you will find that there are many studies that have been done that have found that our bodies do absorb topical products placed on the skin or that it comes into contact with. Many studies claim that 60% of these topical products are absorbed directly into the bloodstream.

Something to think about the next time you reach for something that you will be placing on your skin.  And, did you know that some of the ingredients in some sunscreen brands are also the same ingredients listed as possible links to cancer?  That is ironic!  Hey, I think I will error on the safe side and pick natural products, with ingredients that are natural and safe.  But, you decide for yourself.

Did you know that most shampoo contains forms of wheat protein, oats, or fragrances.  And, most of the fragrances aren't even required to be disclosed because it is a "trade secret".  If you call the company of the brand of shampoo you buy they will often tell you that they can not guarantee the fragrances are gluten free.
